Our little Bear has turned 1 and we just can't believe that an entire year has flown by. It Seems just like yesterday that I was walking into the hospital to give birth to him. We love him with all our hearts and he has truly been a blessing!

Tony and I took Bear to Irvine Railroad park for his Birthday and he loved the train ride!

Time is flying by! Baby Tony is 9 months old and has 2 little teeth sprouting! No more gummy smile but he looks oh so cute! I feel like just yesterday we were waiting for his grand arrival! Now, with 3 months away from his 1st birthday, it's time to start planning his 1st party!

Vanessa's 2nd Recital/Daddy Daughter Dance

Today was an exciting day for all of us! Vanessa was ready to go on the "big stage" and do her thing!I was also ready to get on stage for our daddy /daughter dance! There is no better feeling for me than knowing I was part of a memory that is going to last a lifetime for the both of us. Our dance was kept a secret from Mommy and everyone until the big show and I learned a lot about my daughter and how strong our bond is. She can put her mind on doing something and I know she will succeed. I am very proud of my little girl! She is truly a performer!!

I am very proud of you and impressed! You never seas to amaze me! You are my pride and joy! I enjoyed every rehearsal and every time you sang "Butterfly kisses" sharing the stage with you was truly priceless. I will never forget this day for as long as I live. I love you my princess!

A "Real" Ballerina!

Vanessa has decided she is going to be a "Real" ballerina! This is her second year of Ballet/Tap and she just loves it! Vanessa LOVES and I mean LOVES her Nina! She always talks about her and thinks she is the coolest ever. Vanessa's first sleep over was with her Nina. I was super nervous since Nina lives about 45 minutes away. Needless to say it was a huge success and she had a blast. Since that day, Vanessa has been dreaming of sleeping at Nina's house again! So this time around she packed her things on her own and was ready bright and early! Based off of these pictures, it's no wonder she loves going over there! She always has a blast!! Thanks Ashley for loving our daughter as if she was your very own! <3

Life Lessons: Stay Calm

Today I had a major scare with Vanessa. She was eating some melon pieces and put one too many in her mouth and choked!! I could hear the panic in her cough and I could see the panic in her face. As she started gasping for air, I too freaked out and panic set in. I usually panic completly in situations like this and Tony is the one who can work through a crisis. However, he was not home and I had to act FAST! I quickly remember reading that you should attempt to clear the airway before doing the Heimlich. SO, I stuck my index and middle finger in there and scooped up 4 pieces of melon!!!! 4!!!! and of course throw up all over my hand! The joins of being a parent!! I felt instant relief when she started to cry, I knew she was fine.

You scared mommy! The thought of anything happening to you devastates me. You and your brother are my world and I could imagine a day without you. STOP stuffing your mouth!! : ) I Love you boo boo!

Dear Vanessa & Tony,

Always remember that not all people you encounter will like you. And not all people are honest and real as they claim to be. Some people will purposely hurt you and will try to bring you down. their intentions will always be cruel and they will try to hide behind others. I want you to be aware of these people as they are sure to cross your path at some point in your life and possibly more than once. Mommy wants you to keep your head held high and move on from people like this in your life's. Be cautios of life's cruelty! Although I would love to shield you from that, it's just impossible. That's why I want to guide you two in the right direction. When in life you do encounter these type of individuals, keep this in mind: "Some people count... and some just don't." I love you both.

Sunday...FUN DAY! We packed up the kids and grabbed some lunch and headed to a new park that Tony found. It was so much fun we ate lunch, played in the park with the kids and then went for a hike. It was really nice to be outdoors. We laughed, talked, and took some pictures. This was Bear's first time at the park and he enjoyed all he had to see!

Tea Party!

Today we were invited to Jessica's & Olivia's home for a Tea Party/ play date! The girls all play really good together and when it was time to go home, they had long faces all the way into the car! Thanks lady for a FUN and relaxing day we had a blast!! Thanks Jessica for capturing the moment!

Visit to the Dentist

Vanessa is so brave! I personally HATE the dentist and the thought alone drives me insane. Vanessa on the other hand, has never had a fear for the doctor or the dentist! She keeps her eye on the reward! I don't care how many stickers,toothbrushes, lollipops, and toys I'm offered, I just HATE the dentist. Vanessa you are my hero!!!

Vanessa had her teeth cleaned and had 3 x-rays. We were happy and proud to hear that Nessa has extremely clean teeth and the her adult teeth coming in look straight! Go Nessa!!

Big Bear Lake

We want to give a BIG thanks to Kevin and Brandi for inviting us to Big Bear Lake! We had been up in the mountains and played in the snow before, but NEVER had been there while it was snowing! It was beautiful!!!We had tons of fun and can't wait to do it again! XOXO

This was Bear's first trip anywhere! I was a little nervous since we were going up so high and in cold weather. I was so surprised on how well Bear did! He was such a good Baby and spent most of his trip sleeping or hibernating in true bear fashion!! We did manage to get him out in the snow once or twice and here he is!

5 Months old!

Baby Tony (A.K.A. Bear)is growing oh so fast! He started on solids and his favorite so far is green beans and bananas! But the real bananas, not baby food! LOL He is full of love and still loves to cuddle up. He is such a good baby! We are so lucky. I am still trying to get him to sit up on his own but he is a bit lazy!! He rolls over to the left and manages to get on his tummy but then he is upset because he hates tummy time!

Can't believe our little Princess is 4 years old. I walked in her room this morning and started singing the Happy Birthday song to her. As she opened her eyes, she smiled at me and said: "Mommy! Do I look 4 now???" I hugged her and kissed her and said: "YES! You do look 4 now!!" She was so excited. Vanessa has grown up so much in the past year, it's amazing! She is so smart and her personality just shines everyday! We are so proud to call her our daughter! We love you Nessa!

Christmas... New Family Traditions

This year, we started a few new Family Traditions! Now that Vanessa understands about Christmas a whole lot more, it was fun to see her joy!!

First we adopted one of Santa's Elf's. Vanessa decided to name him Elfie. Elfie's job was to watch over Vanessa every day. Once Vanessa was off to bed, Elfie would head back to the North Pole and report to Santa how Vanessa had been that day. The next morning, Elfie would come back home and Vanessa would find him in a different place each day.

Next Vanessa received her very first letter from the North Pole! Santa told Nessa that he was watching to see how she was behaving. Vanessa was so excited to receive mail and mail from SANTA himself!! She was so thrilled, that she posted the letter along with all our other Christmas cards.

On Christmas Eve, Ashley (Vanessa's Godmother) introduced her to yet another tradition. She brought Reindeer food for Santa's Reindeer. Vanessa was so happy to go out side at night and sprinkle food for the deer!!

And of course, we set out our cookie plate and a cup of milk for Santa! This Christmas was so special because I was so excited for my daughter! Her face in excitement was pure joy to my heart and I knew she understood what was going on which made it twice as touching!

Baby Tony's 1st Thanksgiving! He was a doll and slept most of the dinner. Vanessa had a Thanksgiving picnic at her school. All the kids presented their parents with a laminated picture of a turkey and a sentence of what they were grateful for. Vanessa's said: "I am thankful for my mommy and daddy because they wash the dishes all by themselves!" Kids say the darn est things!... especially mine!!

We had a great time at Mya & Olivia's Halloween Bash! Everything was amazing!! The decorations, the music, the food, the GOODIES!! What a great party! Vanessa's First School Field Trip!

Daddy & Mommy had the pleasure of joining Vanessa on her 1st school field trip. We went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine. Vanessa was had the chance of picking out her own veggies straight from the dirt! She was really excited and could not wait to take them home and eat them. She also picked out her own pumpkin and went to the petting zoo. She had such a blast with her teachers and school friends. She even forgot we were there most of the time! It was really nice to experience her first field trip with her and watch her interact with her peers. So glad we both were able to attend!

Our friends Danielle and Jeff came to visit along with their cute cute kids! Danielle and I were pregnancy buddies, only 3 weeks apart. Baby Tony was born Sept 10th and Delilah AKA "Lollipop" (as her brother calls her!) was born October 6th. So today, the 2 babies met and of course Vanessa got in some hugs with Christopher!

First Few Days with Baby Tony

Baby Tony was a little jaundice for about 2 weeks after he was born. He also had a huge knot on his head, an injury from the birth canal. Completely normal, and Dr.'s said it would be gone in a month. Baby Tony is the 1st boy on both sides of the family, so everyone was just as excited as we were!

This time around everything went super fast & easy! I arrived at the hospital at 11:00am and he was born at 6:40pm. It was a great! A truly unforgettable experience. A good friend of ours stopped by and captured the day after Tony was born.

Alexis lost her 1st set of teeth while staying us! The 1st tooth gave came with a little help from Daddy, she was so worried about the pain that she didn't even feel it! She was so shocked and excited!!! The 2nd one came out later that night, again with the help of Daddy!!

After Vanessa's 3rd birthday, we found out we were expecting Baby #2. 20week ultrasound IT'S A BOY!!!
